Google is now officially old enough to vote, and is marking its 18th birthday with an animated doodle.
Designed by doodler Gerben Steenks, the image links to “when is google’s birthday” and is being shared on Google’s homepages around the world.
Started in 1995 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Google formed a new holding company, Alphabet, in August of last year.
The search engine was turned into a wholly owned subsidiary of the newly formed company, and Sundar Pichai was named CEO.
