Google is replacing the clunky “arrow navigation” in Street View with a smoother “blue line” that allows users to swipe and scroll through images more quickly. I discovered it last night by accident.

Here’s what it now looks like on Google Maps for the iPhone:
Images resolve more quickly and smoothly. And while I wasn’t able to reproduce it on Android, I’m sure this will come to all versions of Google Maps very quickly. It’s not clear how many or how extensively people use this feature. But now it’s quite a bit easier and more fun to use.
