Google Send To Your Phone Comes To Local Knowledge Graph Search Box

Google has added the send to your phone feature which was on the Google Maps interface, now directly in the Google search results.

If you search for a location in Google web search, for example [googleplex], Google will show you a local knowledge graph box on the right hand side of the search results. In that box, you will see a feature to “Send to your phone.” When you click it, it will send a push notification to your device with the directions.

Here is a screen shot of the search result with the send to your phone feature:

When you click on send, it looks like this:

Then when you get the push notification on your device, it shows up like this on iOS:

google-send-to-phone-push

When you click on it, it takes you to the location, where you can click get directions.

Google explains in their help document that if your device not shown, then you should make sure you’re signed in to Google Maps with the same account across your computer and mobile devices with the latest version of Maps for mobile installed. If you are not receiving notifications then make sure your mobile device might have problems connecting to the network and/or make sure your data or Wi-Fi is turned on and you have notifications turned on.
