Google Search For “Fun Facts” Serves Up Random Q&As Via Dynamic Answer Box

If you’re looking to kill time, Google is more than happy to help.

Search [fun facts] or [I’m feeling curious] and you’ll receive a dynamic answer box at the top of your search results with an arbitrary question and answer, along with a link to the content:

Clicking the “Ask Another Question” button returns a search for [I’m feeling curious] that delivers a new dynamic answer box with more random information.

After my initial [fun facts] search, the “Ask Another Question” button returned a search for [I’m feeling curious] with the following Star Wars question:

With Google’s database of information, there’s no end to how many times you can ask it another question. Here’s a quick list of the ten questions it answered for me:

• What state has the most volcanoes?
• How long does it take for your eyes to adjust to the darkness?

If you get bored with Google’s dynamic answer box of fun facts, you can always waste time on Google’s home page. Hovering over the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button will cause it to spin, much like a slot machine, serving up a variety of search options, including: “I’m Feeling Hungry” which returned local search restaurants for nearby restaurants, or “I’m Feeling Doodley” which delivered a random page from Google’s Doodle blog.
